Religious Education Information & Registration

We offer English-language Religious Education classes for children in grades 6 - 8 on Wednesday evenings.  These are regular, grade-level Religious Education classes meant to continue the baptismal commitment to grow in faith.  These are not Confirmation classes.  Two years of regular R.E. classes are required before a student can participate in the Confirmation class.  (Please see the Confirmation requirements.)

The fee for each child is $50.  We ask that at least part of this be paid at the time of registration.  The rest can be paid weekly or monthly, whatever works best for your family.

To register for these classes, please complete and submit the following forms, along with at least part of the $40 fee, to the parish office (one set of forms for each child):

Prayer for Catechists

Jesus, you told us that laborers for the vineyard would be few and that we should pray to the Lord of the Harvest in the hope that many might respond. You have answered our prayers by sending us catechists for your vineyard.

Bless these men and women who have responded to your call to the ministry of catechesis. May they be filled with zeal for your Church, with care for those they catechize, and with love for your Word of Life. Let your Spirit come upon them so that your Word may echo through their teaching and through the witness of their lives. Through our catechists, may the members of our parish whom they teach be transformed into witnesses to your Word. And may these catechists receive the blessing your Son promised to all who labor in your vineyard.

We pray to you, gracious Father, in the name of your Son, Jesus, the Word of Life, and in the unity of the Holy Spirit who transforms us by that Word, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Oración por los Catequistas

Jesús, tú nos dijiste que serían pocos los trabajadores en la viña y que deberíamos orar esperanzadamente al Dueño de la cosecha para que sean muchos los que respondan. Tú has respondido a nuestras oraciones enviándonos catequistas para tu viña.

Bendice a estos hombres y mujeres que han respondido a tu llamado a servir en el ministerio de la catequesis. Te rogamos que estén llenos de celo por tu Iglesia, de cariño por aquellos a quienes catequizan y de amor por tu Palabra de Vida. Haz que tu Espíritu descienda sobre ellos para que tu Palabra resuene a través de sus enseñanzas y del testimonio de su vida. Te rogamos que los miembros de esta parroquia, a quienes nuestros catequistas enseñan, sean transformados en testigos de tu Palabra. Y te pedimos que estos catequistas reciban la bendición que tu Hijo prometió a quienes trabajan en tu viña.

Te lo pedimos, Padre de toda gracia, en nombre de tu Hijo Jesús, la Palabra de Vida, y en la unidad del Espíritu Santo quien nos transforma con esa Palabra, y es Dios por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
